The Department of African American Studies at Syracuse University seeks a part-time instructor to teach two sections of AAS 138: Writing About Black Culture for 3 credits at the undergraduate level in the Spring 2025 semester. One candidate will be hired to teach two sections: M001-Mon/Wed-5:15-6:305 pm and M003-Mon/Wed-3:45-5:05 pm. This course is designed to teach expository writing based on cogent analysis of African American literature, art, music, and historical ideas. In this process, students will be focusing on acquiring information, improving writing skills and sharpening critical thinking ability.
