Job Summary
This position’s function is to provide instruction of Financial Services curriculum virtualy. This position is part-time, and scheduling is based on the demand of the course sections that are needed.
Bryant & Stratton College instructors will support the College mission by facilitating an active learning classroom through alternative delivery methodologies. Instructors will maintain contemporary knowledge and skills in their discipline to support their expected classroom responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions
Provide instruction between 15 and 40 contact hours per week. Instruction will be required in different modalities (example: online, blended, in-person, live webinars). Maintain a current knowledge of teaching discipline/field of study. Attend required College functions including staff meetings, in‑service training, and special activities. Assist in the training and development of new and existing instructors. Utilize active learning (facilitation), and authentic assessment to support the teaching and learning outcomes of the College. Adhere to and uphold all established operational policies and procedures as described in operating documentation (Official Catalog, Faculty Guide, Associate Guide).Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
Bachelors Degree Required
Possess or have had possessed an Insurance license in Life/Health and/or Property/Casualty.
Preferred minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching.
All instructors will possess and exhibit qualities of professionalism, integrity, self-esteem, self-motivation, and a strong desire to guide students to improve their career prospects.
All instructors are expected to maintain a contemporary skill set in support of active learning and authentic assessment evaluation methodology.
All instructors are responsible for establishing and maintaining a classroom climate consistent with the College values.
Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate of the base pay for this position. Information about the total compensation package for this position will be provided during the interview process.
Faculty sign a contract with the Continuing Education Manager at the beginning of each class that outlines the class, contact hours, and dates and time of class. Campus based classes are paid semi-monthly over class time frame.
This class has a hourly rate range of $30.00 - $35.00
