Position Title Part Time Human Resources Coordinator Department HR Operations Position Category TemporaryPart time About CCRI The Community College of Rhode Island is New Englands largest community college and a nationally recognized leader in catalyzing student success and achievement for recent high school graduates and returning adults alike We provide affordable open access to higher education and we deliver on our mission to offer all students the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for intellectual professional and personal growthDiversity is our strength We champion equity and we celebrate support and thrive on the diverse experiences backgrounds and perspectives that are represented across our four campuses We strive to hire and retain culturally competent faculty and staff whose demographics are reflective of our diverse student body To learn more about our employees values and what it means to work here learn about our Guiding Principles here Job Summary The part time Human Resources Coordinator will primarily assist the HR Operations Department with the day to day administrative support They will support a variety of human resources functions and complex projects as needed Duties and Responsibilities Manage Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner employees process transactions hire terminate worker comp retirement changes etc approximately 45 total employees Process part time payroll workflows manage entry of hiring terminating and updating in Ellucian Banner HCM HRIS Approve honorarium payments for the HR Operations Department Ensure accurate part time jobs data for the College in Ellucian Banner Manage and complete verification of employment forms for part time adjunct and OPC employees Help support the onboarding of adjunct employees Maintain and support our non employees onboarding tracking and terminating process Order Supplies for HR Operations Department Process invoicesbills for HR Operations Department Process monthly long term disability billing Assist with FMLA letters doctors notes following up with employees etc Assist with various data projects as needed working in Ellucian Banner Coverage for Main HR office at the front desk as needed Other duties as assigned Minimum Requirements HR office experience and knowledge of processes such as FMLA records management filing purchasing amp billing etc Systems experience specifically with HRIS HCM software Knowledge and frequent use of Microsoft Office products such as Outlook Word and Excel Excellent time management and organizational skills in a multiple priority environment Ability to respond to employees state agency personnel union representatives general callers etc in a polite sensitive and competent manner Excellent communication organizational and strong analytical skills Ability to understand and maintain the confidentiality of employee personal information relative to union related mattersgrievances affirmative action matters HR transactions files and reports Ability to remain calm under pressure Ability to collaborate cooperatively with others Competencies Experience with Ellucian Banner Reports To Associate Director Human Resources Campus Location Primarily located at the Warwick Campus Full timePart time Part Time Shift Days and Additional Work Schedule Information Up to 19 hoursweek within office hours of M F 8am 4pm Work Schedule Calendar Benefits No SalaryHourly Rate 25 35hour based on experience Additional Salary Information Licenses Tools and Equipment Environmental Conditions Desired Start Date Position End Date if temporary or grant
