We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Part Time Intern – Order to Delivery in Boonville, MO.

The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and Ground Engaging Tools) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).

As a Part Time Intern, you will work independently and as part of a team focusing on improvements in specific areas of the Caterpillar Quality Management System, CQMS. These areas may include scrap reduction, document control, and data collection and monitoring of processes. You will also assist in addressing improvements for safety and ergonomics, manufacturing processes, tool design, equipment layout and work standards development.

This position is located in Boonville, Missouri with the expectations of working part time during the school year and potential for full time in the summer.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Assist with implementing Lean Manufacturing initiatives to optimize workflow and efficiencyWork collaboratively with the engineering team on assignments related to new equipment introductionsAnalysis of product, processes, and technologies to shape best methodsManufacturing process troubleshooting and problem solvingDimensional analysis and reports for Production Part Approval ProcessShop floor layout revisions using CAD softwareImplementation of employee submitted Continuous Improvement ideas for manufacturingCreation and maintenance of manufacturing work instruction documents

Internship Qualifications:

Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year university/college in one of the following degree programs: Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering/Technology, Industrial Distribution, Manufacturing Engineering/Technology, Manufacturing Systems, Mechanical Engineering/Technology, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or General EngineeringMinimum 3.0/4.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (no rounding) at current institutionExpected graduation date of May 2026 or laterApplicant must attend 4-year university within a daily commute driving distance to the facility in which they will be working (Boonville, Missouri)Must be able to work 15-20 hours a week during the school year and full-time during the summerMust at least be in junior standing at the university / college

Top candidates will also have:

Leadership experience (either leading teams or projects)Previous technical internship, co-op, or research/relevant experienceAutocad or Creo design software experience

Summary Pay Range:

$25.00 - $43.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
