Part-time Lab Instructor Positions in Biology

The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for up to six part-time Lab Instructor positions for the spring 2025 term, each on a one-term basis, with an anticipated start date of 2 January 2025. These positions are outside of the tenure stream and entail teaching between one and three sections of introductory biology authentic research laboratory courses. Minimum qualifications are a Master’s degree in biology or a related field with some teaching experience. Preferred qualifications are publication of research work, work in different biological systems, PhD in the biological sciences, formal training in teaching, experience as sole instructor of a laboratory course, and experience teaching an authentic-research laboratory course. Teaching evening sections may be needed.
