ResponsibilitiesSummary:
Prime, Inc. is looking for a self-motivated, hard-working individual to join our team! Our Pre-Loader/Local Driver is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our shipping partners as well as transporting equipment by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Transporting empty and clean trailers to customer and/or drop yard locations.Transporting loaded trailers to the yard in order to allow drivers to drop-and-hook from the yard rather than the customer location.Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers.Cleaning truck daily after use.Cross-training to tank wash responsibilities may be required during down time.Performs related work as required.Shifts:
Friday & Saturday night 4pm-4am but hours can be determined based on availability
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Knowledge
Trucking experience is a plus.
Abilities
Must have a strong work history and great customer service skills. Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends required.
Experience, Education, and Training
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior tractor/trailer driving experience strongly preferred.
Working Environment
Both indoor and outdoor working environment with exposure to varying weather conditions and chemical odors.
Licensing/Certification
Must have valid CDL with clean driving record. Must be able to pass a DOT physical prior to being hired.
