Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma- Owasso, OK 12 hours/week; Hours Varied

Essential Functions of Employment with DLO:
• Show up for work, on time & prepared each and every scheduled work day
• Perform all tasks and processes assigned to you including all tasks and processes you are fully qualified to perform and all tasks and processing that you may be over-qualified to perform
• Maintain a positive and supportive attitude throughout each and every scheduled work day & work as a collaborative team member with your fellow teammates on a daily basis

Main Duties: Perform testing in the areas of Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Serology, Microbiology, and Blood Banking in a hospital environment.


Required Knowledge: Understanding of standard laboratory processes and procedures.  Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.  Must have a good understanding of laboratory quality assurance standards.  Must have good computer skills.

Required Experience: 1 year previous laboratory experience in a hospital setting.



Special Requirements: Good customer service skills is a must.  Some phlebotomy tasks will be required.  Holiday and weekend rotation will be required.   May be required to work outside of regularly scheduled hours.

Physical and Mental Requirements:  

The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance. Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time. Frequent walking and/or standing. May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity.
