Serving the residents and families of Solano County for over 35 years, Mark R Christensen, OD, offers a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services and treatments. The practice specializes in routine eye and medical care, dry eye treatment, ocular health management and treatment, surgical co-management, vision therapy, specialty contact lenses for myopia control, keratoconus, and multifocal contact lenses. To support the implementation of new treatments available to patients, Dr. Christensen is looking to add an Associate Optometrist to the team of seven employees.

The team utilizes Optos Optomap ultra-wide digital retinal imaging, IPL (intense pulse light) therapy, and virtual reality headset fields testing. About the Part-Time Associate Optometrist Position
Mark R Christensen, OD, is seeking a part-time Associate Optometrist passionate about offering individualized eye care solutions to ensure optimal eye health for every patient. You’ll perform comprehensive primary eye and vision care 16 hours per week—approximately 12 comprehensive exams are performed daily with additional patient follow-ups. A candidate with experience fitting contact lenses, treating dry eye syndrome, and certified in glaucoma will be an asset to the team. In addition, certification in therapeutic pharmaceutical agents is a requirement of the role.
The practice is looking for a personable Associate Optometrist who enjoys working with and serving patients. The doctor must be proficient in the ability to correctly diagnosis disease and visual conditions. Learning, adapting to new technologies, expanding skills, and sharing best practices and experiences with other professionals is critical for this role. For the right Associate Optometrist, a future potential partnership opportunity may be available.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, excellent patient communication skills, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
