PAY RATE: $12.45 per hour  (Up to 1,500 hours per year) Candidates must be 18 years of age or older or high school graduate and have a valid Michigan Driver's License GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Work activities in this position primarily involve the maintenance of park grounds. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The list below is intended to describe the general nature of duties only. Employee shall perform other duties as assigned. + Performs grounds maintenance around the pool, marina, and shore areas. + Empties trash barrels. + Picks up litter using a prod or by hand. + Maintains and weeds flower beds. + Cleans picnic areas, restrooms, and roadsides. + Operates push mower and weed whip to maintain lawn areas. + Operates golf cart and utility vehicles. + Operates light riding mower to maintain lawns. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + Ability to work in all weather conditions. + Ability to work varied hours depending upon park demands. + Ability to traverse sandy, marshy or wooded areas with even or uneven terrain. + Ability to get along with co-workers, supervisors and park visitors.
