Job Details:
This is a part time position, working a 7on/7off rotation. On weekdays the shift is from 6am-10am (Eastern) and on weekends and holidays from 6am-5pm (Eastern).
The PipelineRx Pharmacy Technician/Telepharmacy Support Specialist, is a key role contributing to the establishment of PipelineRx as the premier provider of technology-enabled pharmacy services by ensuring all PipelineRx clients’ shifts are covered, by streamlining the flow of pharmacy orders, and by assisting pharmacists with daily telepharmacy operations.
Responsibilities
The Telepharmacy Support Specialist monitors all PipelineRx clients during hours of coverage to ensure all shifts are covered for their entirety. During this time, the main role of the Telepharmacy Support Specialist is assisting the pharmacists on duty with filling orders and triaging client phone calls in order to maximize productivity. Additionally, the Telepharmacy Support Specialist aids pharmacists with any clinical support and first level technical support during shift times.
Performance Objectives: Duties may include but are not limited to
-Clinical Support
Assist the pharmacist on duty with duty with clinical questions; locate specific policies.
Assist with managing the PipelineRx queue by posting orders to the appropriate pharmacist on duty.
Optimize pharmacy workflow by contacting clients on behalf on the on duty pharmacist to minimize time away from orders.
Initiate calls to client health care professionals to obtain demographic information for the pharmacists.
Initiate calls to client health care professionals to obtain clinical information for the pharmacists.
Monitor and triage phone calls from high volume call clients. Assist in answering phone calls during peak hours.
-Operation Support
Ensure the pharmacist on duty always has visibility to the assigned clients. Call client’s IT or PipelineRx IT for support on behalf of the pharmacist on duty for advanced technology issues to be resolved.
Help during down times by coordinating with IT director and communicating status to the pharmacist on duty.
Initiate Telepharmacy Support Specialist procedures to coordinate pharmacist coverage during emergencies such as: no-show, call off, sick call, power or internet outage, etc. as established by Telepharmacy Support Specialist Manager in conjunction with Senior Pharmacist.
Maintain accurate records of interactions and issues by providing a nightly report of activities during your shift to Telepharmacy Support Specialist manager.
-Communication
Help pharmacists communicate with clients when access to the client’s system is interrupted during the Pipeline shift.

Qualifications
Minimum, possession of a high school diploma; bachelor’s degree preferred
Current National Pharmacy Technician Certification & State licenses, required
1+ years’ as an institutional pharmacy technician
High speed internet (cable or fiber service)
Effective communications skills, both written and verbal
Demonstrated customer service skills
Strong IT and troubleshooting experience
Proficiency with office technology tools, to include MS Office 2000 or later (esp. Outlook, Excel, and Word), GoogleDrive, internet, and email
IT secure office environment that is fully compliant with HIPAA, ARRA/HITECH, Federal and State regulations.
Physical Demands
May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day.
This role requires typical office-based physical activities: watching a computer monitor, use of a keyboard, occasionally repositioning light desk equipment, and speaking on a telephone for extended periods of time.
