Unit Description

Our Cath Lab is at the forefront of minimally invasive interventional cardiology, where innovation meets patient care. You will be part of a team performing a variety of cutting-edge procedures, including:

Diagnostic Testing: Identifying heart conditions such as blockages. Interventional Procedures: Atherectomy, coronary angioplasty, chronic total occlusion treatment, and more.

As a Cath Lab RN, you will receive comprehensive training to handle the complexities of these procedures. With case volumes ranging from 6 to 36 per day, you will thrive in this challenging yet incredibly rewarding role if you enjoy a team-oriented environment and have strong communication skills.

Cath Lab Facts

On-Call Requirements: One night a week and every 6th weekend, with a 30-minute response time. Collaborative Environment: Nurses scrub, chart, and circulate; techs scrub and chart. High-Tech Gear: You will be required to wear lead during procedures, ensuring you are equipped with the best tools for the job.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensure/Certifications: Current RN licensure in South Carolina, BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC. Experience: At least two (2) years of RN experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Education: BSN. Experience: Background in Cath Lab, cardiac, telemetry, critical care, operating room, interventional radiology, ER, or med/surg.

Core Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to determine patient care priorities. Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration for enhanced patient outcomes. Provide clinical guidance to students and ancillary staff. Participate in hourly rounding and bedside shift reports. Ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. Engage in continuous professional development and serve on unit-based committees. Prioritize nursing interventions based on patient assessments and needs.
