Our flagship Ready, Willing & Able (RWA) program provides paid transitional work experience, transitional housing, advanced occupational training, and comprehensive supportive services to individuals experiencing homelessness. The Doe Fund is also one of New York City’s largest nonprofit developers of permanent affordable and supportive housing, with more than 1,900 units in operation or pre-development. The Doe Fund has an annual operating budget of $73 million and a full-time staff of nearly 500, a significant portion of whom are graduates of our programs.
The Residence Manager is responsible for the supervision of the residents and the overall operation of the facility during designated shifts. S/he will work collaboratively with the Clinical team and the Program Director to ensure that resident needs are being met as well as the safety of the facility.
The shifts that we are looking to cover are: Saturday – Sunday 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the security staff during the tour of duty to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents Responsible for handling any incidents that may occur at the facility and completing an Incident Report Form, as needed Communicate noteworthy events to the Program Director and the Clinical team as well as document them in the appropriate logbook Attend all mandatory staff meetings Ensure all aspects of the Fire Alarm System (FAS) are working properly and are up to code with FDNY Visually inspect and document all components of the FAS Conduct and document quarterly fire drills Other duties as assigned
The Ideal Candidate:
You have a High School diploma or GED, some college preferred A Fire Safety certification is preferred (F-02 or F-80) You have at least two years of experience working in social service, residential setting The ideal candidate must have a working knowledge of HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, mental illness, and homelessness You have the ability to work independently You have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills You have excellent oral and written communication skills You have computer skills – internet and Microsoft OfficeInterested?

The hourly rate for this position is up to $19.65.
