Purpose at Ashley:
The Returns role will be crucial in managing customer returns efficiently. You will work with internal teams, including customer service, sales, and warehouse staff, to ensure smooth handling of returns and timely resolution of issues. You will be responsible for receiving returned furniture and case goods from customers or delivery trucks, carefully inspecting each item for damage, defects, or missing parts, and accurately recording the condition of each item in the system. You will organize returned items in designated areas of the warehouse, using proper storage.
What You’ll Do
· Physically observe and inspect items returned to ensure proper return coding
· Properly identify products by item number
· Track and compile return data with the purpose to identifying areas of concern as well as possible root cause
· Reports findings to immediate supervisor in order to correct errors and sustain a culture of continuous improvement
· Order parts using FedEx, UPS and tracking all orders,
· Rewrap products to place back on racks,
· Operate PIV to restock products
· Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions
What You Bring
· Legally Authorized to work in the US
· 18 years of age or older
· Regularly lift objects over 60 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
· Ability to transport loads of 40+ lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
· Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
