Posted Job Title Part-time Temporary Pharmacy Assistant Job Profile Title Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt Job Description Summary This position will support the daily operation of the Ryan Hospital pharmacy by processing outpatient, inpatient and mail order prescriptions. Data entry, fulfillment and payment processing, is required. In-person consultation with doctors, nurses and students and phone consultation with clients occurs daily. Maintaining automated dispensing cabinet medication stock including unit dosing required medication for stocking in the ADC is required. Part-Time temp pharmacy technicians must commit to a minimum of 8-12 hours per week, including morning and evening shifts along with a weekend and holiday rotation. Job Description + Maintain medication stock in the hospital’s Automated Dispensing Cabinets including unit dosing medication needed for stock in the ADC. + Process submitted prescriptions: count pills, package, label and dispense medications; process charges/payments for medications dispensed + Process phone and e-mail medication orders including resolving client concerns and following up on incomplete requests. + Complete secondary responsibilities as assigned (includes processing return to stocks, preparing compounding ingredients, required daily/weekly cleaning of BSC and compounding areas) + Perform additional duties as assigned Job Location - City, State Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Department / School School of Veterinary Medicine Pay Range Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
