Part-time Training Technician
Position:                                 Training Technician Location:                                Deer Park, TX Relocation Paid:                    No Application deadline:            August 7, 2020 Key Responsibilities: + Confers with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies + Coordinates training schedule with the hiring and training demands of 24 Hr Safety and customers + Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops. + Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works + Conducts training sessions covering specified areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc. + Tests trainees both internal and external to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training. + Reports and/or documents on progress of employees/customers under guidance during training periods + Assists employees with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to their positions + Makes suggestions for improving work procedures and Maintains trainee personnel records + Develops strong relationships with internal customers to develop course materials and receive feedback + While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and stand; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Employee must be able to distinguish between colors. + Other duties as assigned Key Requirements: + High School Diploma required. Associates Degree or higher preferred. + Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and strong computer skills + Two plus years medical surveillance training experience preferred + Willingness to train CPR/respiratory protection, Fit-Testing, PFT and/or MEQ preferred. + Must have a familiarity with OSHA regulations for industrial training. + Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction + Excellent interpersonal communication skills + Current TWIC card holder a plus + Clean driving record and ability to drive company vehicle + Travel a must Equal Opportunity Employment We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities.
