Under the direction of the Versatran Production General Manager, the Versatran Truck Driver transports finished trucks to and from the customer throughout the United States.
The Part Time Truck Driver position moves the vehicles to and from DOT inspections, sales demonstrations with the sales team, and delivers the completed units to customer locations.

Manage routes and routines to proceed in the most efficient way possible and to meet unit transportation schedulesFind ways to conserve resources, including fuel, to benefit the business Serve as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public Conduct inspections of the vehicle prior to movement and report any problems or damage to management Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and proceduresManeuver trucks into loading or unloading positionsCollect and verify delivery instructionsFor unit deliveries, conduct customer training and respond to basic customer questions.Report defects, accidents or violationsObserve and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately Qualifications Have and maintain a current CDL within the state of WIProven work experience as a truck driver (2+ years’ commercial driving experience preferred)Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.)Ability to drive multiple hours and travel Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulationsNo recent moving or driving violationsAdaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendationsEffectively follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasksCommunicate verbally with co-workers to keep a safe working environmentSelf-motivated and team orientedQuality driven with attention to detail No serious tickets or accidents in last 5 years No DWI/DUI in last 5 yearsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High School Diploma or equivalentTwo or more years of mechanical and assembly experienceSolid math and ability to read and convert measurementsExperience with power tools and hand toolsMechanical Aptitude
