The tutor is responsible for providing educational after-school activities targeted to meet the goals of the program.
Essential Functions:
Serves as a liaison between program participants/parents, partners and school. Develops and provides regularly scheduled educational and recreational activities reflective of the identified goal of No Child Left Behind, under the supervision of the Group Home Manager, Assists Group Home Manager with assessing academic, social and emotional needs of children and families served in the program and recommends referrals for additional services as necessary. Assists in monitoring/tracking youth attendance, progress in program, and completes required documentation including daily progress Participates in regularly scheduled meetings with assigned supervisor. Maintains clean and safe physical environment for students during tutoring hour. Adheres to agency policies and procedures; follows and supports agency mission, vision and values including participating in internal surveys and data collection for continuous improvement initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.Education & Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 1 year of experience working in classroom/tutorial setting Must have a current and valid driver's license with acceptable driving history to the Agency. Ability to work with a culturally and economically diverse population.
Schedule & Pay:
Per Diem Schedule $25.69 hourly
