Splunk is growing its APAC partner team and is seeking a Partner Development Manager (PDM) specialising in Observability to enhance and grow strategic partnerships, particularly within the Asia region. The role involves leading innovative GTM strategies, cultivating executive-level relationships, and driving significant business growth. Efforts will directly contribute to generating incremental software license and service-related revenue, creating a measurable impact on Splunk’s success. As a trusted advisor on Splunk’s Observability products and services, this position plays a pivotal role in fostering meaningful partnerships at a senior level. Applying expertise and building strong connections will help drive the adoption of our Observability solutions across the region.Key ResponsibilitiesThis role encompasses crafting and implementing strategies that drive partner success and business growth. Specific responsibilities include:Design and execution: Defining, developing, and leading the Observability Partner Strategy for Asia. This strategy will align closely with the regional Observability sales GTM plans, positioning partners for success in a competitive landscape.Championing Observability expertise: Serving as the subject matter expert for Observability across the partner ecosystem in Asia. Responsibilities include identifying, recruiting, and mentoring the next generation of Observability partners for Splunk, helping them unlock their potential and achieve their goals.Collaborating for success: Working closely with internal teams, including Splunk Account Executives, Observability Advisors, Partner Development Managers, and Partner Sales Engineers, to foster effective collaboration. Partner engagement will focus on Observability sales, renewals, and customer success.Engaging at the executive level: Building strong, senior-level relationships with partners to ensure alignment with Splunk’s engagement strategies. Work will span Splunk Partners, Distributors, Managed Service Partners, Global System Integrators, and Cloud Providers. Cultivating these relationships will help partners achieve their go-to-market objectives.Driving GTM objectives: Partnering with Service Providers and Cloud-Native partners to align their Observability GTM goals with Splunk’s solutions. Facilitating mutual success by aligning priorities and delivering measurable outcomes will be a core focus.Advocating for partners: Collaborating with internal collaborators to represent the unique needs of the Asia Partner Ecosystem. Acting as a bridge between partners and Splunk ensures partners have the support and enablement required to succeed with Splunk’s Observability portfolio.Supporting and traveling: Visiting partners, engaging with prospects and customers, and actively participating in marketing events to reinforce relationships and strengthen Splunk’s position in the region.Problem-solving: Applying organizational and analytical skills to overcome challenges and remove obstacles. Adapting strategies and finding creative solutions will drive success for both Splunk and its partners.Growing in a dynamic environment: Excelling in a fast-paced sales organization. To excel in this role, candidates should bring a combination of experience, skills, and passion for partnership development. Key qualifications include:
Proven experience: A minimum of 10 years in software sales, or managing channel and partner relationships. A track record of delivering results and driving growth is essential.Knowledge of Observability: Experience with Observability solutions or familiarity with the Observability channel ecosystem is highly desirable. This expertise positions candidates as trusted advisors to partners.Intuition for business: A strong background in partner-led sales, business development, and marketing.Exceptional communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver impactful presentations and effectively convey complex ideas.Collaborative leadership: Proficiency in leading virtual meetings and working across teams. A collaborative approach helps unify efforts and drive outcomes.Strategic planning: Demonstrated ability to set priorities, create actionable business plans, and deliver measurable results. Critical planning ensures that initiatives align with organizational goals.Executive presence: Confidence and ability to engage with senior executives at multiple levels within partner organizations. OTE Range
For sales roles starting salaries are expressed as On Target Earnings or OTE (OTE = base + on-target incentives in the form of sales commission plans).
Singapore
On Target Earnings: SGD 204,000.00 - 280,500.00 per year
Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the On Target Earnings (OTE) range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the OTE will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to OTE, this role may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
