Reuters News Agency is seeking a Partnership Operations Specialist to help manage our portfolio of world class content Partners e.g. BBC, EFE and Newsflare. The Partnership Operations Specialist is responsible for onboarding new Partners, nurturing existing partners, and plays a lead role in managing the operational work of the partner team. This role will be instrumental in driving the day-to-day administrative activity to deliver our content Partner strategy (focusing on bringing new archives and extending existing content partnerships to include transactional sales).
Our business is truly global. Our Partners are a diverse group of content creators located in Silicon Valley, Istanbul, Tokyo and everywhere in between. They are broadcast television news networks, animators, and boutique content creators. Our existing Partners are as dynamic as we are, and changes often present unexpected challenges and opportunities. The person in this role will be flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
About the Role:
As a Partnership Operations Specialist at Thomson Reuters you will:
Responsible for the end-to-end Partner operational experience, from the point of signing a new content agreement, through to ensuring their commercial success with Reuters.
Partner closely with our Partner development lead, to identify growth potential and support the partner with operational needs.
Manage and onboard new Partners, including routine check-ins to ensure all aspects of their operational set up are functioning effectively (in person and on the phone), educating and integrating the Partner into Reuters and the Connect platform
Act as a key point of contact for the day-to-day operational management of Partners ensuring that Partner queries, e.g. content deletion/ kill requests, copyright issues and any other required changes are handled, tracked and escalated where necessary.
Identify and implement process improvements to benefit the overall Partner operation.
Work cross functionally i.e. with Legal, Product, Technology, Customer Support to ensure that our operational practices and procedures are optimised.
Work with other cross functional teams i.e. Sales, Marketing, Commercial Policy as needed to support go to market success of Partners.
About You
To be our Partnership Operations Specialist, you will likely have:
Our business is built on trust, our Partner program depends on trust too. A strong sense of ethics and ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally are essential for this role. You will be the first point of contact for most partners, you therefore need to be confident handling partner queries and supporting all operational aspects of partner management.
Previous experience working in partner management, account management or customer success experience preferable.
Prioritization and multi-tasking skills are essential.
Self-starter, who is goal-oriented and can work independently.
Starter-finisher, who is detail-oriented and accountable for their work.
General knowledge of, and genuine interest in the news industry, archive footage and documentaries - and how trends and practices differ globally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
