The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Programs Manager is an integral part of the Public Sector (PS) Partner Programs team and is in a key position to help grow our cloud computing business making an impact in an exciting, growing market. AWS is leading the shift in cloud computing and is looking for world-class candidates to help shape and deliver our partner programs. In this Partner Programs Manager role, you will own the development and operation of specific programs that help partners accelerate their AWS business. You will work cross-functionally with AWS partner and technical teams to scope and build requirements and benefits that will solve partner and customer challenges. The ideal candidate is experienced with program development, cross-functional team work, relationship building, management, reporting, training and communicating to a variety of audiences, and is highly organized. You must have the ability and initiative to understand complex business needs and solve them with programs. You must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key job responsibilities
-Work directly with partners to drive adoption of the AWS Education and Nonprofit Competencies.
-Work closely with cross-functional teams (business development, sales, marketing, technical and operations stakeholders) to improve and administer the program benefits.
-Leverage your channel knowledge to solve highly complex business challenges through programmatic solutions including working with technical stakeholders on program design.
-Operationalize and expand the program in desired geographies including program recruitment, adoption, reporting, feature roadmap, and problem resolution.
-Develop and mature mechanisms to deeply understand customer and partner needs, gaps, and opportunities in the Education and Nonprofit industries
-Build and execute a communications strategy to stakeholders, including ownership of business cadence.
-Measure and report effectiveness of program
-Own goals/performance reporting
About the team
The Public Sector Partner Programs team drives partner program usage, benefits, and customization for AWS Partners working with Public Sector end-customers, in order to accelerate their revenue growth, profitability, and transformation with Public Sector end-customers. Examples of programs built and led by this team include Think Big for Small Business and the Partner Transformation Program.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 8+ years of relevant experience (Business Development, Program Management).
- Understanding of and experience with the Cloud Computing Industry.
- Experience working with channel partners, System Integrators, and Software vendors.
- Excellent communications skills including writing and presenting with accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA Degree.
- Experience in Public Sector verticals, with a focus on Education and Nonprofit.
- Experience building and managing programs, with a focus on differentiation / specialization programs.
- Fluency in a second language (other than English).
- Experience with AWS technology.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
