Partnership Development Manager, Corporate – Global Rights and Partners

About the Role

In this role, you will support the Director, Global Rights & Partners in licensing Elsevier data to corporations for commercial purposes, including managing existing license agreements and negotiating new ones. This role emphasizes long-term partnership development alongside strategic alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities

Ensure that product is effectively commercialized and protected requiring a balance of direct licensing activities with broader business development and strategy.Uncover and prospect new partnership opportunities ensuring the client’s use case is aligned with Elsevier’s strategy.Analyze market trends, identify revenue opportunities, and manage potential risks associated with partners.Develop deep product knowledge of product and demonstrate ability to communicate its value to varied corporate partners across a wide range of fields, including publishers, tech companies, business intelligence and consultancy firms, and more.Collaborate cross-functionally working closely with legal, finance, sales and product team to ensure cohesive and effective execution of licensing strategy.Negotiate terms and conditions for new opportunities and work with the Director and Legal on the structuring and negotiation of complex licensing deals that drive growth.Work with the Director and Pricing Manager to establish appropriate value for new licensing opportunities and provide feedback and process improvements to improve pricing models.Manage relationships with existing partners to renew agreements and identify opportunities to add value and create additional revenue.Maintain and strengthen effective communication with existing partners to ensure mutual understanding, adherence to contractual obligations, and offer guidance to help address emerging market challenges.

Experience

Experience in partnership and sales coupled with commercial experience and knowledge of the Scientific, Technical and Medical market.Proven ability to network and build strong relationships across internal and external partners, with strong communication and negotiation skillsTrack record of meeting personal goals while collaborating with team members to support departmental objectives.Innovative, thoughtful approach to customer engagement.Goal-driven, process approach to develop and improve on processes, systems, and go-to-market executionComfort working in matrixed organizations and interest in the challenge of growing a program.
