Parts Clerk / Administrative Assistant Transdev in Leesburg, VA is hiring a Parts Clerk. The Parts Clerk performs basic vehicle servicing, cleaning and fueling with limited supervision. Key Responsibilities: + Open and close work orders requests. + Run and review reports as needed. + Answers shop telephones and schedule repair appointments. + Maintain vehicle information files. + Take road call information and dispatch mechanics or outside service. + Arrange pick-up of outside repairs. + Receive and stock parts. + Provide counter service. + Clean and organize shelves, bins, racks, etc. + Maintain a clean and orderly parts facility. + Order special (non-stock) parts for repair orders. + Manage cores and parts returns. + Monitor re-order levels and replenish stock. + Maintain files and other related records. + Operate WO / Parts record keeping system as per corporate and customer needs. + The above duties are not meant to restrict initiative, but rather to define minimum activities. + These duties may be altered to suit the needs of the company as needed. Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent + 3-5 years of parts or vehicle maintenance experience preferred. + Strong data entry skills. + Computer literate with an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office. + Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. Physical Requirements: + The essential functions of this position require the ability to: + Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. + Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces + Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level + Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
