EquipmentShare is searching for a Parts Demand Planner - SW Region for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow.
Salary range: $70k-$83k. Factors including past experience and location may affect final compensation rate.
Job Summary: Responsible for managing the end-to-end parts planning process, including forecasting demand, coordinating stock orders, managing dealer returns, and ensuring optimal inventory levels.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Demand Forecasting & Risk Mitigation: Analyze historical data, trends, and business requirements to develop accurate parts demand forecasts for existing and new locations. Collaborate with sales, service, and production teams to refine forecasts based on market conditions, seasonality, and other business drivers. Identify potential risks related to demand fluctuations, supply chain disruptions, or inventory imbalances and proactively implement strategies to mitigate these risks. Use forecasting tools and techniques to minimize the impact of demand volatility on inventory levels. Stock Order Management: Place stock orders with suppliers based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and lead times. Monitor order fulfillment, ensuring timely deliveries to meet customer and dealer requirements. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent product availability. Dealer Returns Management: Manage the return process for dealer returns, including assessment, approval, and coordination with the returns & corporate parts department. Ensure returns are processed efficiently and within agreed timelines, minimizing disruptions to supply. Provide accurate reporting and tracking of returns to identify any trends and opportunities for process improvements. Inventory Optimization: Monitor stock levels to ensure optimal inventory turnover, avoiding both stockouts and overstock situations. Collaborate with inventory control teams to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure parts are available when needed. Implement strategies to reduce obsolete or slow-moving inventory. Supplier and Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth parts procurement and delivery. Regularly update key stakeholders on inventory status, order fulfillment, and potential supply chain issues. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on parts demand, stock levels, returns, and other key performance indicators (KPIs). Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to improve planning accuracy and supply chain efficiency. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within parts planning, stock ordering, and returns management. Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving procurement and supply chain operations and customer satisfaction.Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficient in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and inventory management software (ERP systems). Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Results-driven with a focus on improving inventory accuracy and supply chain efficiency. Ability to think strategically and anticipate future demand trends.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience in parts planning, demand forecasting, inventory management. Experience in dealing with dealer returns and supplier coordination is highly desirable.
