Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream from procurement to design and manufacturing to distribution. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, segment Procurement and the design and manufacture of Wear Components (Undercarriage and GET) and Maintenance Components (Seals, Tubes & Hardware, Hose & Couplings, Fluids and Filters).
As a Parts Inventory Analyst, you will research, develop, implement and monitor inventory management and distribution logistics systems, concepts and procedures for worldwide parts inventory and operations management.

What You Will Do:
• Primary focus on inventory management (IM) oriented duties supporting Caterpillar's Remanufacturing products, driving improvements to service and inventory by optimizing Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP), fixed requirement processes and other IM processes
• Maintain Reman vs. Seed Supply Relationships
• Perform work to achieve supply chain performance targets focused on Service, On-Time-In-Lines (OTIL), Customer Centric Parts Availability (CCPA) and Inventory Turns
• Support internal process partners in areas of root causes to schedule variability, backorders, and service loss
• Collect, analyze and present data in monthly Remanufacturing Demand Reviews
• Create, execute and maintain on-going weekly and monthly reports and audits
• Participate in all projects and meetings to support improvements in Backorders, Past Due Schedules and Service Loss
• Must be comfortable presenting material in front of audiences in person as well as through Teams
What You Have (Basic Requirements):
Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Standard Operating Procedures: Knowledge of established standard operating procedures (SOP); ability to design, implement and evaluate standard operating procedures affecting daily and strategic business operations in order to increase operational efficiency.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
Data Visualization: Knowledge of principles, techniques and processes of data visualization; ability to create high quality figures effectively for various business scenarios and storytelling.
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Tools: Knowledge of electronic data interchange tools; ability to design, implement and maintain tools and facilities in order to establish a computer-to-computer interchange of electronic data among organizations.
Inventory Management: Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage organization's materials, commodities, merchandises, or products.
What Will Set You Apart (Preferred Qualifications):
• 3+ years of previous experience utilizing PC SAS programming
• 3+ years of previous experience in Inventory management or Materials Management Supply
• Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced level degree
• Advanced communication skills and the ability to present to both experts and non-experts at all levels of the company
• Experience utilizing all Microsoft applications with strong emphasis on Excel

Summary Pay Range:
$87,480.00 - $131,280.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
