ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.  The following duties and responsibilities are to be performed accurately, efficiently, within Company safety and Quality System standards, within specified time frames and as needed.

Work from schedules, kanban, work/wait boards, and/or verbal instructions to rack component parts on hangers or conveyors and/or after cycle is completed removes parts from racks and separates according to model, style, finish etc. Assure sufficient quantity of racks available for process and that racks are loaded properly and in timely fashion. Inspect and record parts for quality/acceptability both prior to loading and after completion of process and report faulty operation/processes, defective material and unusual conditions to line operator, group leader or production team leader.  Move material to line or to downstream work centers as necessary using appropriate moving equipment. Train other employees in proper loading and unloading methods.Maintain work and equipment area in a clean and orderly condition according to established workplace organization guidelines.Perform other duties as required or directed including performing primary operator responsibilities for finishing processes during absence of primary operator.Ability to use computers for input and retrieval of information.

Ability to understand safety guidelines that relate to job responsibilities.Ability to correctly interpret operational method sheet.Ability to perform quality inspections/Total Quality Check.Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of material flow tools.Ability to understand visual standards and nonconforming material system.  Ability to properly use material handling equipment.Ability to perform job tasks within required timeframe.Ability to properly identify WPO areas that relate to job responsibilities.Ability to perform job tasks according to Allegion quality system/ISO 9001 standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical:

Ability to occasionally lift up to 55 lbs from floor to waist or, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to above your head.Ability to frequently lift up to 28 lbs from waist to above your head.Ability to frequently push and/or pull up to 15 lbs and periodically greater than 15 lbs.Ability to repetitively use fingers and hands to feel, handle, or squeeze.Ability to reach with hands and arms and perform frequent repetitive motions.Ability to frequently stand, walks, and/or sit.Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.Ability to judge distances, spatial relationships, and perform visual and/or mechanical inspections.Ability to utilize a respirator.

Mechanical:

Exposure to moving mechanical parts and elevated surfaces.  Ability to perform material handling, racking activities, and preventative maintenance of equipment.

Environment:

Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and vibration.Exposure to hazardous chemicals including: corrosives, reactive, and toxic.Exposure to high voltage equipment.The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:  Below are the minimum requirements for this position. 

Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.Preferred: 3 months experience in manufacturing environment.
