We are growing rapidly and looking for an Parts Manager who will partner with our team. The role is located at our Alvarado, TX location. Custom Truck One Source has an opening for a Parts Manager with a mechanical background in aerial, equipment, and heavy & light duty trucks. The position will be responsible for running a profitable and efficient parts department. He/she will accomplish objectives using proper purchasing procedures, in-ventory control, staff utilization, safety, security, and pricing. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them. • Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments. • Work with the Director of Manufacturing to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for inter-nal jobs. • Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect material stor-age and management. • Hire, train, terminate, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff. • Direct and schedule the activities of all parts department employees. • Provide technical assistance to parts department employees. • Conduct meetings with parts department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutu-al interest and to develop strategies for a more efficient operation. • Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence. • Create relationships with venders. • Maintain stocking levels at levels appropriate to support production requirements with safety stocks. • Oversee all employees of the parts department. • Monitor and maintain docuware invoices for discrepancies. • Monitor cleanliness and organization of the department. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Rea-sonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. • High school diploma or the equivalent. • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience. • Prior experience in a parts department • Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percent-ages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. • High skill level in data entry. Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Of-fice (Word, Excel, Access). • Must be able to work independently and possess a strong desire to learn. • Valid driver's license.
