Your Role

Mission:

To facilitate growth of Power Technique’s Aftermarket and support the capital equipment sales through a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality technical support to all Power Technique customers.

This position is responsible for the technical support on the assigned Power Technique Service’s product line (for example, portable generators, light towers, portable air compressors, hand-held tools, and/or pumps).  Support will primarily be provided for the assigned product line but may also include support for our other core products.  There will be a dedication to continual product improvement by communicating through our distribution network, internal personnel, and the Product Companies. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

As PTS Parts Specialist you will be responsible for:

Implementing the complete parts set up during the 3 different stages of the Capital Equipment product life cycle (new product development, equipment in serial production and phase out) 
Close coordination with Product Managers to support marketing activities defined by the product management team
Providing support to our Customer Center when it comes to parts information
Make sure parts are available and priced accurately

Design for Service:
Analyze previous product spare parts and kit configuration
Update the spare part list and remove parts not required, based on the phased out products life cycle for spare parts
Finalize lead time and make the parts available in SPP and keep the same update, being preparted for quarterly reviews
Prepare master list with lead times agreed with supplier with availability of parts until 10 years after the product is phased out
Analyze new product MS, to create service kits, service packs & maintenance schedule for the product; ensure it is available in Service Stock before the product launch
Participate in DN meetings to track product improvement status and changes in part numbers

General responsibilities:

To succeed, you will need  

Experience:

Experience working within the construction equipment industry is preferred2+ years of experience in Spare Parts/Service managementTechnical knowledge of construction equipment is preferredExposure to international business environment and large manufacturing companyFluent in English language is requiredUse of IT tools such as ERP (BPCS/SAP), CAD, MS Excel and SharePoint

Education:

A 4-year, bachelor’s degree in Technical and/or Marketing field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills:

Customer focused individual able to handle priorities and deadlinesAble to be proactive and reactiveGood communication skills and able to handle customer pressureAnalytical, accurate approach to problem solvingStrong pedagogic skills to make effective trainings for customersStrong sense of ownership and ability to lead with a never give-up attitudeReliable and organizedAbility to coordinate teamwork and influence others for optimum motivationCurious, outside the box thinking for continuous improvement cultureMaintain a positive attitude to raise the performance bar

Travel:

This position requires a modest level of travel within the United States and internationally, up to 5%.

Supervisory responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibility.
