Parts Technician - Apprentice
PARTS TECHNICIAN - Apprentice **This position is located in Grande Prairie   The Parts Technician - Apprentice will be a member of the Maintenance Department responsible for the organization of the parts in the parts room. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Parts Technician - Apprentice will focus on proper paperwork, supply, and maintenance of parts for the District.   OUR CULTURE:

Whenever possible, the initiatives and organizations we undertake to promote and support fall into the following categories: Environment, Education, Indigenous, Social Services, Arts & Culture and Community Sport.   SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:  • Work safely in accordance with all company safety policies, procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements • Must attend all pre job meetings and attend safety meetings when required • Provide courteous and professional counter service to all internal and external customers • Effectively communicate with Maintenance management regarding a continuous supply and maintenance of required parts • Ensure adherence to operational policies and procedures to achieve safety objectives • Organize and maintain the inventory areas  • Shipping and receiving • Maintain purchase and issuing records • Adhere to proper shift crossover procedure • Safe operation of a forklift as required   KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES: • Flexible to work a variety of shifts (shift work, day shift, night shift) • Follow and enforce safe work procedures, codes, and regulations • Energetic self-starter, able to work in a dynamic environment • Able to handle multiple tasks by prioritizing and maintaining a high attention to detail • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills • Work and inspire others to work at high performance levels • Knowledge of coil tubing, fracturing, and truck and trailer an asset but not required • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word and is essential • Must be mechanically inclined • Team player with the ability to conduct work with professionalism • This position is considered to be a Safety Sensitive Position and may require additional screening • This position has bona fide physical requirements and may require additional screening (please refer to the applicable Physical Demands Profile)   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: • Enrolled in or working towards the Parts Technician Certification. • High School Diploma or GED preferred • Valid Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent required • Satisfactory Drivers Abstract required • Previous forklift experience is an asset   Explore the abundance of the Grande Prairie - Greenview Corridor, which showcases a booming economy, breathtaking landscapes, a warm sense of community and endless things to do.
