Pasta & Condiments Norway Brand Manager

Barilla Norge AS is looking for a Pasta & Condiments Norway Brand Manager to join our C&NE Consumer Marketing team. This is a full-time position, and you will report to the Pasta C&NE Director. As responsible for both Pasta and Condiments categories, you will also need to work in close cooperation with the Condiments C&NE Associate Director. The position is based in Hamar, Norway. Job Purpose In this role you are accountable for developing and implementing the Pasta & Condiments Category strategy in Norway, in order to achieve P&L and market share targets for both categories, in close collaboration with both the global category team and the local market team. You will be responsible for defining the most effective marketing plans for Pasta & Condiments, in guaranteeing consistent monitoring of the performance of the managed products and the market in terms of supply and demand trend, as well as the management of the flow of information towards other services, both in the local market (Trade Marketing, Finance, KAM etc.), as well as towards the Global category. You guarantee the development and the management of innovation projects in the market, by assisting in the definition of the commercial and financial levers to maximize the sales and turnover in the local market. Key Accountabilities + To define, plan and execute the Category marketing plan (communication & promotional programs) in collaboration with the Trade Marketing and Global Category, by formulating and integrating core information relative to the brand / product / geographical area of competence in terms of targets and resource allocation on the activities of innovation, media, consumer promotion & below-the-line. + To define, in co-operation with Trade Marketing, periodic canvasses for the brand / products of competence to be implemented to guarantee the best programming of promotional activities at the points of sale and to best allocate those resources aimed at increasing consumer awareness of brand / products, market penetration and brand margin. + To analyze the performance of the managed categories, the promotional & ATL initiatives of our brand & competitors, and propose action plans accordingly to findings. To ensure constant market monitoring with the purpose of supplying an adequate knowledge of supply and demand trend by gathering data, acquiring research, keeping in constant contact with sales structures and through an analysis of brand awareness and customer needs/reactions, in view of formulating suitable marketing plans aimed at guaranteeing the development of corporate economic results. + Contribute in preparing sales forecasts as part of the budget and forecast activities for the brand / products/ geographical areas of competence by supplying the manager with data and information on the assessments of market development, marketing activities, market trend and planned commercial actions. + To guarantee the development and the management of innovation projects in the market and in the segments of reference, by assisting in the definition of the commercial and financial levers to maximize the sales and turnover in the local market. + To ensure the implementation of plans for the launch of new products in co-operation with Trade Marketing and post-launch analyses with the purpose of identifying critical elements and success factors to consolidate and develop the presence of the Barilla brand. + To drive the local adaptation of global communication campaigns and develop promotional campaigns for the brand / sub-brand of reference by managing relations with external agencies and the global category. + To support the project of packaging and/or graphics reassessment with the purpose of adapting global packaging to local market. + With M&PI and Category teams, co-develop research plan and provide innovation/renovation recommendations. + To ensure the proper follow up of marketing expenses by taking steps aimed at solving any critical situation. Requirements + At least 5 years of experience + Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, International business + Excellent communication in English, and Norwegian. + Experience from the FMCG industry + Strong analytical skills. Experience with Nielsen IQ + 360° entrepreneurial mindset & focus on bigger picture, while being agile in operational tasks + Manage projects independently + Strategic thinking & Creative + Problem solver + Good communication skills.
