ResponsibilitiesThe Pastoral Care Manager will serve as a system leader within the Pastoral Care department at FirstHealth of the Carolinas. The successful candidate must have a commitment to God, the call, and a heart to serve people in need. The Pastoral Care Manager will be a positive customer service representative and an organizational dynamic role model. The role will operate in the capacity as an administrative team member on scheduled days to provide coverage and consistency within the pastoral care office. The candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, can communicate at all levels of the organization, and can foster workable relationships within FirstHealth and the communities we serve.
QualificationsThe following or equivalents are the minimum requirements to perform the essential functions of this position:
Education/formal training/licensure/certification/experience: Graduation from an accredited college and divinity school or seminary. Master of Divinity required. Supervisory experience required (2-4 years preferred). Certification or eligibility as a Board-Certified Chaplain with a national professional pastoral care certification program is required.
Additional Skills: Problem-solving and project development skills. Must be able to manage in a sound fiscal manner. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with all age groups in varied cultures. Office automation and personal computer skills are required.
Working Conditions:
Primary office environment with periodic travel, on-call, and evening work commitments. Walking and standing for extended periods. Potential exposure to communicable disease.
Physical Requirements: Ability to commute to and access FHC grounds and facility. Moderate sitting. Ability to communicate verbally in a positive and friendly manner.
