Location Description Welcome to the The Belgrove, a distinguished new property in the Pyramid Global Hospitality portfolio set to open this year as a 4-Diamond resort. Take the first step towards a rewarding career by applying today! Overview Your role as a Pastry Cook will be to ensure that our standards are delivered graciously and thoughtfully every day. We are searching for a skilled and creative Pastry Cook who can prepare quality and consistent pastries for all areas while contributing to the success of our daily pastry operations. Every day is different, but you’ll mostly: Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and confections, ensuring each creation is a feast for the eyes and a treat for the tastebuds. Follow established recipes and guidelines to maintain consistency and quality in every dish. Work closely with the pastry team and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely service. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to health and safety standards. Assist in the preparation and decoration of pastries for special events and occasions. Receive and check orders and requisitions, ensuring all necessary ingredients are available. Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or issues to the Executive Chef. Contribute to maintaining technical worksheets, recipes, and costings. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure coordination and timely responses to requests. Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activity to bring new ideas and innovations to the kitchen. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest questions and feedback about dishes and kitchen services. Qualifications Qualifications What we need from you: Previous experience working in a pastry section, bakery, restaurant, or similar environment. Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure. Creativity and a keen eye for detail in pastry preparation and presentation. Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse colleagues and guests. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demands. Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and hygiene. Positive attitude and professional presentation skills.
