The Hilton Orlando is seeking a full-time Pastry Cook to join their culinary team! This vibrant resort hotel is located in the heart of Orlando’s International Drive and connected to the South side of the Orlando Orange County Convention Center. A Pastry Cook is responsible for creating, preparing, producing and baking all pastries, breads, rolls and desserts for food and beverage outlets. Ideal candidates for this position will have at least 2 years of experience working with pastry in a hotel setting or at a high-volume restaurant/bakery (as well as related certifications/degrees). Seeking someone who is an enthusiastic team player and willing to learn.

Shift Pattern: varies with AM and PM shifts. Weekend/holiday availability required.

Pay Rate: $25.06 per hour

What will I be doing?  

\n

As a Pastry Cook, you would be responsible creating, preparing, producing and baking all pastries, breads, rolls and desserts for food and beverage outlets in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nPrepare pastry food items according to designated recipes and quality standards\nMaintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards\nStock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product\nDevelop new products for a-la-carte and catering menus, as needed\nPractice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations\nDisplay and set baked products on mobile carts according to specifications\nPrepare daily requisitions for supplies and food items\n
