Check out this video for more information on our great company! Location Description The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. This gorgeous 39-acre property reopened in May 2021 after undergoing a $150 million restoration and has over 700 rooms, over 200,000 square feet in banquet space, and 8 food and beverage outlets (including 2 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 poolside bars, a gelato shop/café, and in-room dining). Hotel Website, Instagram, Facebook Overview As a Pastry Cook I, you would be responsible for producing baked goods for the outlets, assisting with banquet production and weekly brunches, and keeping up pars while ensuring all production is ready in a timely manner with meets quality standards. This includes, but is not limited to, the following duties: Responsible for production of outlet items on time and to specs. Take daily inventory and make out requisition for days production. Date and label all items going into freezer and walk-in, clean as you go. Store all items in approved containers that are wrapped, dated and labeled. Follow food handler’s guidelines. Rotate oldest stock out first, check with chef if freshness is questionable. Practice and abide by all Resort rules and regulations, safety and sanitation policies at all times. Maintain a professional attitude, demeanor and appearance. Wear proper uniform and footwear at all times. Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency. This is a full-time position, and you must have availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The shift for this role is from 2pm-10:30pm or 2:30pm-11pm. Qualifications At least three (3) years pastry experience in a high-volume operation One (1) year of hotel experience, preferred Upscale / luxury dining experience, preferred Food Handler Card Graduate of an Apprenticeship or accredited Culinary School, preferred Attention to detail Great attitude Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
