Maintain high level of quality food preparation within the Pastry department. Assist the Executive Pastry Chef and pastry team in the day-to-day operations filling guest requests for deserts, and amenities. Candidate must be innovative, detail oriented and quality conscious.
Key Accountabilities:
Pastry cook will work with the pastry team to execute pastry amenities, support the Executive Pastry Chef and to ensure quality and consistency of all outgoing food. During festive season and other special occasions to work with the Executive Pastry chef on project such as show pieces for lobby or buffet displays. Daily walk thru of all culinary areas to ensure health department compliance. Work closely with the In-Room Dining Manager managing amenities and all special requests. Foster positive thinking and collaboration with the entire kitchen team by giving active assistance and advice on more effective ways of running the kitchens.
General Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years in the culinary profession. Previous luxury hotel and fine dining restaurant experience.
