Job Description:As a Pastry Lead Cook, you will assist in overseeing the pastry team members and preparing dessert items for our guests to enjoy. You will work hands-on with employees to develop their food passion, produce unique pastries, and ensure the kitchen is operating smoothly. Bring your talent and passion for the pastry arts and be a part of our new restaurant opening in the East Village in Early 2025!
What will I do?
Manage a team of employees, engage in meaningful conversations and provide the resources, feedback, and development opportunities they need to be successfulCoordinate kitchen operations, which may include ordering, scheduling, payroll, and forecastingRequired Qualifications
2 or more years of experience working a variety of positions in multi-faceted food service facilities and venues, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, conference centers, casinos, theme parks, etc.Demonstrated experience with plated dessert preparation, presentation, and innovationExperience in creating a wide variety of desserts and pastries, with a focus on creativity and an unwavering commitment to exceptional flavorPreferred Qualifications
Experience working in a bakeryExperience working as a line cookExperience in a training-related roleAssociate degree in pastry arts
