Responsibilities Include:
+ Operate docketing system, accurately creating and maintaining records for domestic and international patents.
+ Verify the accuracy and completeness of all docketed deadlines and actions, ensuring timely updates and compliance.
+ Process and update systems based on communications received from the USPTO, clients, attorneys, foreign associates, and annuity service providers.
+ Provide timely updates on docketing changes to relevant stakeholders in line with company policies.
+ Collaborate with legal teams to ensure all patent-related deadlines are met without exceptions.
+ Perform thorough quality reviews of docketing data to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
+ Manage vendor instructions related to annuity payments and international patent deadlines to ensure timely processing.
+ Stay informed on changes to patent laws, rules, and procedures that impact docketing processes.
+ Generate detailed reports using PATTSY WAVE and Global IP Estimator to support operational needs and decision-making.
Requirements
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe.
+ College degree or business school training is desirable.
+ Prior experience with patent preparation, prosecution, and/or IP docketing is a plus.
+ Familiarity with the PATTSY WAVE docketing system is preferred.
+ Knowledge of PCT Safe, ePCT, and Global IP Estimator is advantageous.
+ Previous experience in a law firm and with patent docketing is preferred.
