Responsibilities
This position performs preparation, gross description and dissection of simple and complex human specimens for histological processing and subsequent diagnosis. Obtains biological specimens for additional testing/studies. Performs special procedures including Faxitron imaging and tumor triaging. Assists with frozen sections and operating room consults. Frontline person between Pathologists and Surgeons/Clinicians. This position also reviews medical chart with Pathologist. Performs postmortem examination and prosection.
This is a per diem position, no set schedule and no gaurentee of hours.

Qualifications
We Require
This position requires that the applicant be PA (ASCP) BOR certified and/or a graduate of NAACLS accredited Pathologists Assistant training program and eligible to sit for the exam. Certification must be obtained within 1 year of start date.
