Day - 08 Hour (United States of America) **This is a Stanford Health Care job.** **A Brief Overview** Under the supervision of the Operations Manager or director, this role serves as a liaison and referral coordinator between SHC Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Laboratory and internal groups, referring physicians, and medical groups. Promotes the department's clinical programs, faculty, as well as address and respond to referral issues. Represents Stanford Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Laboratories to its demanding market segments in a responsive and professional manner. The Pathology Services Coordinator is also responsible for the development of existing and prospective accounts and growth for Pathology testing and consultative services, overseeing the logistics of referred specimens and/or material from specialty clients, hospitals and other institutions and coordinating efforts with the various specialty laboratory departments. The Pathology Services Coordinator is a field representative who will seek & establish new clients, engage and support in contract negotiations and lead the procurement process, coordinating with the Lab Business Operations Department, Laboratory Administration, and section Medical Direcctors. The Pathology Services Coordinator's responsibility is to maintain existing clients, promote, launch new business and provide service and support to enable the department to maximize and maintain the volume of business these accounts may produce, including providing ongoing service and problem solving. Additionally, performs and coordinates all activities related to reference client relations. This includes overseeing the non-technical logistics of pathology material referred from clients, as well as being the primary pricing and billing point-of-contact. It also includes helping optimize the volume of business produced. **Locations** Stanford Health Care **What you will do** + 1. Responsible for setting up and maintaining client accounts. + 2. Determine unmet needs, identify problems or concerns, and offer exemplary service to referring physicians and medical groups in a timely and professional manner. + 3. Ensure that the department is kept updated on changing trends and identified opportunities for potential market affiliations. + 4. Establish and adhere to an ongoing schedule of visits to physicians and medical groups as needed + 5. In collaboration with the appropriate faculty, marketing strategy teams, and administration, identify targeted physicians and medical groups for development of referral relationships. + 6. Notify Operations Director, Manager and/or section supervisors of problem areas for resolution and inform them of needs for clinical services. + 7. Attends applicable conferences with authorization by the Operations Director or Manager. + 8. Completes projects as assigned. In doing so, understands the purpose and scope of the project, constructs implementation plans, monitors and manages the project, reports any obstacles to the Operations Director or Manager and monitors the post implementation status. + 9. Ensures complete compliance with all company policies and government regulations. + 10. Follows up with clients to obtain any missing information if requested by the laboratory. + 11. Interacts with Lab Business Operations, Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), Information Technology (IT) and the technical staff. + 12. Functions as primary pricing and billing point-of-contact for SHC Pathology Lab clients. + 13. Works closely with Laboratory Business Operations by providing needed information for contracts and fee schedules. + 14. Maintains liaison with other programs, offices, and departments across SHC to coordinate department business and to accomplish Anatomic Patholgy & Clinical Lab objectives. + 15. Prepares reports and conducts preliminary analyses setting forth progress and adverse trends. Provides input into appropriate program recommendations or conclusions. + 16.
