Patient Access Assistant Lead | Sartell Clinic

Join the CentraCare team as Patient Access Assistant Lead at our Sartell Family Medicine Clinic. 

Patient Access Assistants are often the first point of contact for our patients. As a Patient Access Assistant Lead, you will assist and lead the team in this highly visibility role, welcoming patients and checking them in for their appointment, verifying patient and insurance information, processing complex documents checking for accuracy and completeness, scheduling appointments and/or transmitting information to other departments, obtaining and identifying information necessary to produce billable patient accounts, and managing phones while exercising professional judgment and applying detailed knowledge of facility procedures related to the work performed. The lead will assist in training and coaching new team members, work on ongoing projects, data measures and collection, and continuing education needs of Patient Access staff and will support and implement patient safety and other safety practices.

Schedule:

Full Time | 80 hours every 2 weeks Weekday shifts between 6:30am and 5pm No weekends or holidays.

Pay and Benefits:

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent  Computer knowledge, keyboard skills, and other office equipment required. Must have working knowledge of all Prelude/ADT/Scheduling/Insurance authorization and referral functions within Epic. Customer Service skills are essential Good verbal and written communication skills Epic Certification Epic Prelude/ADT (or other Software Vendor) Credentialing required where applicable within one year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous supervisory experience  Knowledge of medical terminology One to two year post high school training in clerical, secretarial or business area  One-year prior scheduling, billing, patient access, accounts receivable and/or collections experience in healthcare, preferably in a clinic or hospital
