Patient Access Coordinator
Job Summary: The Patient Access Representative is responsible for ensuring a positive patient experience by accurately and efficiently managing patient registration, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and other related administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. THE CANDIDATE MUST LIVE IN THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT TO BE CONSIDERED. Key Responsibilities: + Patient Registration: Accurately collect and input patient information, including personal details, medical history, and insurance information. + Appointment Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments, confirm appointments, and coordinate any necessary follow-up. + Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage, pre-authorizations, and benefits eligibility. + Billing and Payment Processing: Assist with billing inquiries, process payments, and provide information about payment options. + Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by answering patient inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing information about hospital/clinic services. + Record Management: Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. + Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff, insurance companies, and other departments to facilitate smooth patient access and care coordination.
