Sheltering Arms is currently seeking a Patient Access Representative to join our team. This team member will be scheduled at various locations according to need so flexibility is a must. Our Patient Access team provides the highest level of customer service while assisting our patients, families and visitors.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Answering phone calls using established greeting and assisting callers in a friendly and helpful manner. Providing excellent customer service when greeting, screening, and directing our patients. Performing patient registration and ensuring that all data is accurate and complete. Explaining all required forms to the patient or guarantor and obtaining necessary signatures. Scheduling patient’s appointments Collecting co-pays Maintaining confidentiality of all patients’ records and accounts. Working with clinical and clerical staff to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.

 Successful candidates will possess:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate with patients and clinical staff effectively. Ability to multi-task and accept feedback Basic computer skills Prior experience in patient registration/health care preferred but not required. Knowledge of insurance benefits is preferred but is not required. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
