Description We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Patient Access Representative to join our client’s healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive experience through excellent customer service and efficient administrative support. This professional will play a vital role in managing patient admissions, scheduling, insurance verification, and other critical front-line tasks. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong communication skills, and exhibit attention to detail when managing sensitive patient information and navigating healthcare systems. Key Responsibilities: + Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. + Perform patient registration, including collecting personal and insurance information, verifying insurance coverage, and obtaining necessary authorizations. + Schedule appointments, confirm upcoming visits, and manage patient appointment reminders. + Ensure accurate data entry into the electronic medical records (EMR) or scheduling systems. + Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing, insurance, and other related processes. + Collaborate with clinical staff and other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience. + Handle financial transactions such as copay collection and balance inquiries. + Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations regarding patient information. Requirements + Prior experience in patient access, healthcare reception, or a related administrative healthcare role. + Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and EMR systems. + Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with basic computer operations.
