Responsibilities
Saint John Hospital is looking for a per diem, variable shift Patient Account Registrar in the Admitting Department to join our growing and dynamic staff!
The Patient Account Registrar duties include, but are not limited to:
interview the patient or his/her representative to obtain patient demographicssecure insurance information, eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicablework closely with all facets of the Admitting Department, including PBX operator function and reception areasmust be able to operate a computer to input and retrieve dataable to communicate with the population served utilizing age specific techniques from neonatal, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle adult to geriatricsmaintain proficiency in medical terminologyspecial projects or other assignments may be given with expectations to be completed in a specified timeframewe are looking for a person with a positive attitude who has compassion and empathy for otherswillingness to learn and be ambitious and successful in your roleQualifications
Education and Work Experience
