Description We are in search of a Patient Account Representative to join our team in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be at the forefront of managing the pre-visit process for high-cost injectable drugs, maintaining accurate records, ensuring timely payments, and providing comprehensive customer service. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Engage in patient interactions through various modes, addressing their billing queries • Develop compelling appeal letters for initial and secondary level appeals • Evaluate account balances and decide upon the subsequent steps • Assist patients with co-pay by providing necessary information, sending out packets, enrolling online, and answering their questions • Use payer websites to monitor the status of claims and appeals • Respond to calls from patients and clinics related to drug team queries • Maintain an accurate inventory of high-cost drugs at each clinic • Perform other assigned duties as needed • Ensure proper storage of high-cost drugs at each clinic location • Address any drug-related insurance claim denials or outstanding accounts receivable balances. Requirements • Proficient in Medical Billing procedures and protocols • Experience with Medical Collections and managing outstanding payments • Familiarity with NextGen healthcare technology • Knowledge of Prescription Drug terminologies and related procedures • Ability to handle Copays and understand related financial aspects • Expertise in Denial Management to handle insurance claim denials effectively • Experience with Insurance Denials and ability to resolve them efficiently Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
