Position Overview:
As a Patient Account Representative, you will manage and follow up on moderate to complex workers’ compensation and motor vehicle claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution while meeting productivity and quality standards.
Schedule & Work Environment:
Shift: Monday - Friday (Flex Schedule)Work Arrangement: Hybrid/Remote work available after the introductory period, contingent on meeting performance metrics Responsibilities Investigate and follow up on outstanding account balances over 45 days past due to determine the reason for non-payment.Conduct initial claim evaluations as early as 21 days old to confirm clean claims reach the correct payer.Make outgoing calls to patients, insurance companies, and attorneys to obtain claim status and reduce outstanding receivables.Identify and resolve issues impacting the timely collection of receivables.Counsel patients on financial options, establish payment plans, and initiate follow-up actions.Request account adjustments, including write-offs and refunds, as needed.Meet productivity and cash collection goals set by management.Perform other duties or special projects as assigned. QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GEDStrong phone communication skills – comfortable making outbound callsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Healthcare collections experience strongly preferredExperience working in a production-based environment with performance goalsAbility to receive constructive feedback and apply it to improve performanceSelf-motivated, accountable, and resourceful in problem-solvingProficiency in troubleshooting minor software/hardware issuesAbility to work independently in a private workspace (confidentiality required)
