Work where you matter. **You Belong at Avera:** Competitive pay, various shifts to fit your lifestyle and opportunities for career growth. **Join Avera as a Patient Advocate - Revenue Cycle and** **join a mission driven organization with a great company culture, and team environment.** **_Position Highlights:_** + **Positive Work Environment:** Be part of an organization where we practice the mission in our daily operations **.** + **Career Growth opportunities with the largest employer in South Dakota.** **Job Summary** + The Patient Advocate is responsible to plan, organize, and implement financial counseling services to patients and families. + Responsible to screen patients to determine potential for program assistance, complete application with patient and families, and follow up after discharge regarding application. + Maintain knowledge base of community agencies and resource to facilitate appropriate referrals, including maintaining a thorough understanding of eligibility requirements and current laws governing government programs, including Medicaid, specifically South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, and Nebraska. **Education and/or Experience** + Bachelor's Degree in finance, healthcare business, or social work preferred. + Two years experience in healthcare and insurance verification preferred. **Work Schedule** + PRN, as needed **Pay** The hourly range for this position is listed below.
