**Job Title** : Patient Care Assistant **Salary:** £25,396.80 per annum **Location:** Cinque Ports, Tenterden **Job Type:** Permanent, full-time **Hours:** 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, Shifts will be between 08:30am and 6:30pm, Saturdays 8.00 - 4.30 - required to work in Kingsnorth Veterinary Hospital or Rye as required, 1 in 4 Saturday shifts with a day off in lieu the following week; May be required to work at other branches on pre-arrangement You will be responsible for preparing theatre for surgeries, cleaning and maintaining the quality of our instruments, assist with patient care and husbandry, running in-house lab tests, packaging biological samples, and assisting with the smooth running of the practice. Duties will also include, but are not limited to: + Cleaning, disinfection and preparation of patient accommodation. + Actively maintain the hospital and follow infection control procedures. This will include sterilising and deep cleaning among other duties. + Assist with reception and client care, including answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries, booking procedures and taking payments. + Assist Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses, and support staff where and when required. + Work and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients. Demonstrate the ability to be reliable, adaptable, understanding and empathetic. + Assist with patient handling and restraint.
