Position Purpose:
Serve as a key part of our patient care team providing daily cares.
This position is for any acute care/medical-surgical areas at the Waterloo Medical Center location.
Areas include:
2 General: Cardiac/Nephrology Unit
3 General: Post Surgical Unit
4 General: Orthopedics/Neurology Unit
All unit colleagues will float depending on patient census.
What you will Do:
Supports the team in identifying patient needs and implementing the outcome/goal-based plan of care.Assists the patient care team in the delivery of care.Communicates relevant clinical information to others to optimize patient outcomes/goals.Performs unit-based functions as assigned.Hours/Schedule:
.3 FTE; 12 hours per bi-weekly pay period
12-hour shifts, every 3rd weekend/holiday rotation
Day shift; 6:45am -7:15pm or Night shift; 6:45pm - 7:15am
Minimum Qualifications:
Verification (by transcript or certification) of successful completion of one of the following:
Nurse Aide I courseNursing Fundamentals courseNurse Aid Competency Test.Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff and physicians while performing their job duties.
