Today, through our state-of-the-art Level One Trauma Center, cutting-edge specialty care units, and dedicated caregivers, the system is working at the forefront of medicine to address the overall needs of our patients and eliminate healthcare disparities. _All Acute Care Adult Specialty units offer enhanced technology to assist with nursing care, including patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring capability._ Join our Acute Care Adult Medical Oncology Unit, 3 East! _Primary Patient Population:_ + Inpatient Oncology + Cross-trained for Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) _Primary skills utilized/learned:_ + ADL’s + Vital Signs and bladder scans + Hospice and palliative care + Time management, critical thinking, delegating _Personnel PCNA’s will work with_ _:_ + LPNs, Registered Nurses, Nurse Interns, Providers _Number of beds on unit:_ + 30 beds _Awards or Recognitions the unit has received:_ + Nurses’ Week Interprofessional Collaboration Award Winners!!!! Required Qualifications: + High School Diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam. + Ability to work in a team environment while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, initiative, and effectively problem-solving skills. + Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications: + Registered in good standing as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Nurse Aide Registry (NOTE: Maintaining ODH Registry status as a STNA is optional after employment in this position). + 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in a hospital.
