Overview

*Assist with front desk secretarial tasks to include answering the phone, completing referrals, contacting patients/families to provide education on services, scheduling, completing statistics, filing.

Responsibilities Good customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise discretion and good judgment. Processes information quickly and accurately.Calm, efficient and organized.Ability to work well with others.Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of age groups, ethnic, educational and socioeconomic backgrounds.Personal computer/office automation and typing skills. Knowledge of word processing.Familiarity with basic office practices and procedures.Demonstrates accurate and correct grammar in verbal and written communication.Proficient in verbal and written communication.Displays effective organizational skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task, and perform several tasks in an organized manner.Ability to function independently with minimum supervision. Qualifications High School Graduate.Associate Degree in Medical Secretarial Science or equivalent experience.Knowledge of computer applications and programs such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.Knowledge of medical terminology.Valid North Carolina driver license.
